For a wholesale organisation targeting construction workers (masons, carpenters, painters etc.) we assisted in setting up a system for managing their warehouses across 19 stores. The had an ERP system, but needed a way to keep track of stock so that they could move items from one location to another depending on where the customer ordered them. As part of that, we cooperated in setting up warehouse management, moving away from storing new deliveries wherever there was space, to allocating fixed storage locations to different product types. Going digital is one thing, but creating structure in the physical world was essential.
